Are you a freelancer or an entrepreneur looking for a new place to call home? Perhaps — like me — you’re tired of the high cost of living and taxes in your current location, and you’re seeking a change. In last year, I explored three countries that offer low cost of living, good quality of life, and low taxes. Being a freelancer and entrepreneur by myself, I was looking for a country that would offer not only great travel opportunities and great food, but also little bureaucracy and well-developed public transport. Finally I made my choice: next month I’m sitting in a place where taxes are very low and the people are extremely friendly. Check which countries I have tested. Will you guess which place I chose?

1. Is Bulgaria a Good Place to Live?

The first country to consider was Bulgaria: European country located in Southeast Europe, bordered by Romania to the north, Serbia and North Macedonia to the west, Greece and Turkey to the south, and the Black Sea to the east. Bulgaria is a member of the European Union and NATO, with a population of about 7 million people.
