First, let’s take a look at social media platforms. Data protection continues to be a topic of debate for TikTok. The popular social media app has implemented additional security measures to prevent restrictions. To ease concerns about data security, TikTok plans to hire 2,500 employees for a team called U.S. Data Security. A key objective of the US data security team is to ensure that only those employees who need access to user data have access. US data security team members will not be Chinese nationals, and employees must follow the rules set by the US government, reports The Wall Street Journal. In addition, employees would be accountable to the US Foreign Investment Commission. Will this be enough to ensure data security?
Meta: Data Scraping And Fake Accounts Accusations
Meta accused Voyager Labs of violating its Terms of Service against fake accounts and unauthorised data scraping.
